mezli
automated restaurant

the chill vibes of mediterranean beach culture inspired the motif for the mezli automated restaurant. the eye-catching color block design evokes a relaxed cafe lunch on the greek island of mykonos. when installed at the spark social SF food truck park in san francisco, its bright modern facade pulled people in.

there were several objectives for the program. the design had to resonate with the brand and deliver a visual impact identifiable from a quarter mile. it also needed to mesh with the internal technology arrangement while meeting environmental and regulatory demands. wrapped in casual clapboard style siding, the simple yet powerful blue/white structure achieved all of these goals.
