Arable Raises $40M Series C to Advance Climate Resilience and Expand Global Footprint

Last week, Arable, the leader in field intelligence for agriculture, announced a $40 million series C round of financing. The new funding will be used to accelerate development in sustainable agriculture and climate resilience. New investors include Galvanize Climate Solutions and Qualcomm Ventures funding alongside existing investors Prelude Investors, S2G Ventures, Ajax Strategies, Grupo Jacto, Middleland Capital, M2O, and iSelect.

Bould Design has been Arable’s strategic design partner since their founding in 2014. Their hardware, the Mark, is a very sophisticated, solar-powered, multi-function, in-field sensing device. It collects 40+ climate and plant metrics including soil temperature, rainfall, chlorophyll absorption, and heat stress. This data is uploaded to the cloud via cellular LTE-M and 2G. The device is powered by a high-efficiency solar-charged battery making it maintenance-free.

Bould Design is very proud to collaborate with Arable on their important work cultivating a sustainable food supply and climate resilience through intelligent application of technology.
