Poynt Acquired by GoDaddy for $320 Million to Expand Commerce Services

 

Poynt has been acquired by web hosting company GoDaddy for $320 million. Poynt’s mission over the last seven years has been to connect small businesses with commerce technology superpowers by offering a complete suite of products from point-of-sale systems to loyalty and rewards programs. GoDaddy is a company that shares Poynt’s vision of empowering small businesses and has acquired the payments company to rapidly expand their e-commerce capabilities. Poynt is already used by more than 100,000 merchants worldwide, and GoDaddy plans to bring Poynt’s services to its platform of 20 million customers.
